Teacher’s notes and lesson plan
Give out the lesson plan. The objective is to get students talking and thinking about language. Print out the lesson plan and go through it in class. Or, split the class into pairs, swap pairs, then have people report back to the class. Giving people the chance to practice in pairs before reporting to the class builds confidence to speak publicly. Split the class into pairs to do the final three questions as a speaking exercise, then get the pairs to report back to the class. Get them to think of equivalent words in Japanese.
