It’s been a while, huh? My life had intervened in the world that is Free Talk TEFL since I last posted about running a speech day, but in a good way. I had an art exhibition, a trip back to the UK as well as the usual Halloween party shenanigans expected of any half-decent English school in Japan. But I’m back in my seat at Free Talk HQ, for two reasons:
I’ve just finished writing and editing a book on how to teach English in Japan. I’ll post details of it as soon as it is published and becomes available on Amazon (expected within a day or two).
I’m going to have a table at the GaijinPot Expo 2024 in Akihabara, Tokyo, on Saturday, December 7th where I’ll be meeting jobseekers and trying to convince them that they might find self-employment a better option than working for The Man. Details to follow. Come on out and say hello if you are in the area. Here’s what I said at the Expo in 2023.
