Lesson Plan and teacher’s notes
The aim of the 40-minute lesson is to get the kids to boil eggs, paint them and hide them. Is that an aim? It is in this lesson.
Song: Hello Song
Get a bunch of white-shell eggs, crayons or water-based dye (crayons are easier and less mess)
Hard boil the eggs (about 12 minutes), let them cool and either dip them in colour dye in water-filled plastic glasses, or just let them cool if you just have crayons
Print out worksheet below, get kids colouring in the egg page while the real eggs cool.
Song: Colour song
Decorate the real eggs!
Play hide and seek with the eggs. Be careful not to lose any as they will stink if left over time.
Story book: Where can I paint, or anything spring, easter or colour-themed
Don’t forget to give the kids their egg to take home (make some extras in case of accidents)
Song: Bye Bye
