Lesson Plan and teacher’s notes
The aim of the 40-minute lesson is to teach features of the head vocabulary and introduce “This is my xxx” for singular and “These are my xxx” for plural. Getting the kids to repeat and say “This is my mouth” would be great. Even if they can just be able to point at their mouth when prompted is a victory.
Song: Hello Song
Song: One Little Finger
Model the vocab by pointing to your own head and getting students to repeat “This is my nose” etc.
Play “Please” (like Simon says but they are only supposed to touch their mouth etc when you say “PLEASE touch your mouth.”
Do worksheet with kids tracing the words and colouring in.
