I haven't yet. I just print them. And use these binders: https://amzn.to/3Pb2zyC I want to make a few revisions here and there and add a few more chapters. Then I am going to look into publishing them. I only have one of my own textbooks at the moment.

Gotcha. Well, the hardest part is creating the content, so you are over halfway there. Another series of posts I must back to :)

It is probably much harder at the start. For my first student, I spent more time preparing the material than I did teaching the class. That is after I had searched for an appropriate textbook for a while. The preparation really decreased the value of teaching the lesson. On the other hand those lessons that I prepared are now part of my textbook and I have used them hundreds of times.

Listening to this podcast ( actually I read it) makes me wonder about your trips to the UK with the kids. I'd love to hear about how you manage that, and things to avoid or if you have good ideas. I don't have any plans to do anything like that but I think it would be interesting. Thanks again!

Btw, how did you go about publishing your textbooks?

Oh yeah, for sure it was harder at the start. But as you say, those first few lessons can become the bedrock of what you do. I’m thinking of a series on doing trips abroad. Once I’ve got through the next one.
